Short story of hot water burns - Collagen dressings

Miss X is a 26 year old dentist, known patient of Epilepsy on regular medication.

She discontinued the medication for a couple of days before taking the covid vaccine without doctors advice.

The day after vaccination, she got up  like any other day and went for a shower in the bathroom and fell down unconscious after opening the shower due to an episode of seizure. 

As the shower was open the hot water spilled over her arm and face and causing scalds over that area before it was noticed by her parents.

She was then brought to our care for the treatment of her scalds / hot water burns.

She had sustained 20 percent scalds extending over some areas of arm , forearm elbow and face.

Patient was in immense pain and kept on intravenous Pain relieving medication along with supportive fluids

Her wounds were dressed with specialised dressings was later taken for Debridement(Cleaning) of wounds and Collagen dressing on day 3  after initial stabilisation.

Following the procedure she was discharged after two days in a stable condition. She is now back to work, with virtually no scarring and no functional impairment 

Today Miss X has no problem in perceiving her face or arms while looking at the mirror or while out at any social gathering and is as confident as before her burn injury.
